Nutrition
Our excellent chef and kitchen team offer nutritionally-balanced, freshly prepared meals. The menu changes on a four-weekly cycle and we try to accommodate different tastes and diets as far as possible.
Dining
Residents can choose where to eat and some prefer the privacy of their own room. We encourage socialising, and many people enjoy eating together in the dining room.
Nutrition is more than just about the food; our goal is also about making mealtimes a social gathering.
Weight management
As we get older we may eat less. Making food interesting, nutritious and tempting for those who need to put on some weight after a spell of being unwell or just need to maintain a healthy diet is an essential part of our care programme.
Our in-house chef is responsible for providing appetizing meals tailored for our residents.
Varied menu
Our menu is varied and includes hot and cold meals, vegetarian options and the ever-popular puddings.
At our lunch and dinner sittings, we have a choice of two hot meals or if residents are looking for something a bit lighter, there is always the option to have a smaller snack from our smaller plate or snack menu.
We like to make a cake when a resident is celebrating a birthday, and often link meals to special events in the calendar such as Burns Night. There is plenty of flexibility if a resident has particular likes or dislikes but our chef’s superb home baking rarely goes unappreciated (also much appreciated by visitors!)
