Peter McCormick Moving from Managing Director

Message from Peter 29th June 2026

After 27 years at Randolph Hill, with the last 20 as Managing Director, I have decided to move to a semi-retired position. I will leave my role as Managing Director and take on the role of Advisor to the Board. Although a non-executive position, I will be at Randolph Hill every week and will still visit the homes regularly. While officially advisor to the board, I will be available to give any advice to head office staff and care home management that is needed. In my new role, the working hours will be 1 day per week. In order to ensure a smooth transition, I will start reducing hours gradually. I will work 4 days per week starting 29th of June, then 3 days starting 31st August, 2 days starting 2nd November and then moving to 1 day per week from 1st February 2027.

Brodie Nichol will take over as Managing Director with effect from the 29th of June 2026. Brodie inherited Randolph Hill from his father and company founder, Elliot Nichol. Brodie has a degree in Business Studies from the University of Leeds and has worked at Randolph Hill as a Director since 2024. Building on the foundations laid by Elliot and I, his focus is to bring the business into the modern landscape, adopting technology and data, whilst holding on to the values and the lessons that have long characterised Randolph Hill as a business.

I hope you will see that we have a plan to achieve a smooth transfer and that Randolph Hill can continue as before without any disruption. The rest of the board is unchanged and I’ll be staying on as part of the team, nothing that we’ve built and learned over the years will get lost along the way.

Clare Allen, Director of Nursing Homes Operations, and her team, Group Home Management, will remain unchanged to provide operational support to the homes, and the rest of head office will also be unchanged by this. The individual care homes will continue on unchanged by this and your home manager, deputy, administrator, and the rest of the team will be providing care and service as normal.
