Eating Well

Nutritionally-balanced and freshly prepared meals are prepared by our excellent chef and kitchen team. At Blenham House, the menu changes on a four-weekly cycle in order to accommodate different tastes and diets as far as possible.


We encourage residents to eat together in the dining room however they may prefer to eat alone in their bedroom and that’s fine with us. Nutrition is more than just about the food though and therefore our goal is also about making mealtimes a social gathering.

Weight Management

We aim to make food interesting and nutritious particularly for those residents needing to put on some weight after a spell of being unwell or just need to maintain a healthy diet. As we get older we may eat less and therefore our in-house chef is responsible for providing appetising and tempting meals tailored for our residents.

Varied Menu

Our menus are varied and we aim to offer hot and cold meals, vegetarian options and the ever-popular puddings.

At our lunch and dinner sittings, we have a choice of two hot meals. We also offer snacks throughout the day so residents can eat when they please. This may be a good option for those that prefer smaller meals and snacks rather than larger meals a day in order to get all the nutrients that they need

We also host special meals to celebrate big events like Burns Night – and, of course, we like to bake cakes to celebrate a resident’s birthday!
