Celebrating Members of the Team

As we continue celebrating 40 years, we’re shining a spotlight on the remarkable individuals who make Randolph Hill so special. Today we thank Staff Nurse Staci Livingstone, for her years of dedicated service.

“I joined Muirfield in 2014 and, during my time here, Randolph Hill have allowed me to explore my career and challenge myself, including progressing to work as a senior staff nurse, and then charge nurse for four years. They remain supportive of my decisions, including my choice to step back and spend more time with my family, thus creating a positive work life balance.

I feel that Randolph Hill care for not only the residents, but the staff too. The biggest thing that stood out for me when deciding to take up employment with Randolph Hill was, and continues to be, the fact that they are a smaller nursing home company. This has allowed me to feel listened to and valued as a member of staff as I am given the opportunity to share my experiences, opinions and suggestions throughout my role to help shape the care that is delivered to the residence. My time with the company has enabled me to build relationships with, not only the whole management team, but also the senior management and directors. There is also support in place to give me the autonomy to make decisions and work using my own initiative.

Watching the new building being built from the ground was a great experience. I was able to support the residents, relatives and staff whilst living and working in the older building and transitioning with them across to the newer building in 2017.

I also remember times where we have been able to support residents to attend the Edinburgh Military Tattoo and also having the Red Hot Chilli Pipers visit the home.”
